Privacy Policy

🔒

The short version

WordVerse has no sign-up and no account. We never ask for your name, email or phone number, and your puzzle progress stays on your device. The app is free and supported by ads: to show them, Google AdMob collects a limited set of device and advertising data, described below. You can refuse ad personalisation at any time and keep playing.

About ads

WordVerse is a free, ad-supported app. It shows ads served by Google AdMob, and on first launch iOS asks whether the app may track you (App Tracking Transparency). If you decline, the app does not use your advertising identifier and requests non-personalised ads only. The "Advertising" section below lists exactly what data this involves.

Who is responsible

WordVerse is published by Letter Arc Games, the data controller for the processing described here.

What stays on your device only

The following is written to the app's local storage and never sent to us or anyone else:

Uninstalling the app deletes all of it. We hold no copy.

What we do not collect

We also do not sell personal information.

Advertising

WordVerse shows ads served by Google AdMob. To select and measure an ad, Google's SDK collects and processes:

DataPurpose
Device advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, Advertising ID on Android) Selecting ads, capping how often the same ad repeats, and measuring results
IP address Serving ads for your country and language, and detecting fraud. An IP reveals approximate location, not a street address
Device model, OS version and language Rendering the ad correctly on screen
Ad interactions, such as impressions and taps Measuring performance and paying the publisher

Google acts as an independent controller of this data and also uses it under its own terms. See how Google uses data in advertising and the Google Privacy Policy.

Ad-free option: a paid plan that removes ads may be offered in the future. While it is active, the app stops requesting ads and stops sending this data.

Legal bases

Where the GDPR or the UK GDPR applies, we rely on:

Refusing personalisation does not block the app. You keep playing, with non-personalised ads instead.

Controlling personalisation

iPhone and iPad

iOS asks for your permission before any tracking. If you decline, the app does not access the IDFA and requests non-personalised ads only. You can change this later in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.

Android

Under Settings › Google › Ads you can delete your advertising ID or turn off personalisation.

Europe, the UK and Switzerland

Users in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland see a consent screen on first launch, presented through a consent management platform certified by Google, where each purpose can be accepted or refused and the choice can be revisited later.

In-app purchases

The current version has no in-app purchases. If an ad-free subscription is offered in the future, it would be processed by Apple through the App Store. We would never receive or store card numbers, cardholder names or billing addresses — Apple would tell us only whether an active subscription exists, so the app can unlock the ad-free experience.

International transfers

Advertising data is processed by Google on servers outside your country, including in the United States, under the safeguards set out in Google's data protection terms.

Retention

We keep no user database. Local data stays on the device until you uninstall the app or clear its data. Advertising data follows Google's retention periods, described in its privacy policy.

Children

The app is rated as suitable for all ages and contains no objectionable content, but it is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. A parent or guardian who believes a child used the app and wants any associated data removed can write to privacy@letterarcgames.com.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access your data, correct it, have it deleted, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, and ask who we share data with.

Write to privacy@letterarcgames.com to exercise any of them. Because we hold no account data, most of it is already under your direct control, on your device and in your system ad settings.

Changes to this policy

If the way we handle data changes, we update this page and the date at the top. Material changes, such as adding a new advertising partner, will also be noted in the app's store description.
